Working in cooperation with Maywood Park District, Broadview Park District, & the surrounding communities.

Working in cooperation with South Holland Recreational Services, Calumet Memorial Park District, & Riverdale Park District.

Leisure and Recreation Services (LRS) of Sertoma Star is a special recreation cooperative of Broadview, Calumet Memorial, Maywood, and Riverdale Park Districts, as well as the Village of South Holland Recreational Services Department and Sertoma Star. Sertoma Star is a 501(c)3, not-for-profit community organization dedicated to challenging the limits and changing the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. NSRS was organized to provide recreation and leisure programs for children through adults with physical, intellectual and/or age-related disabilities, their families and their communities in South Cook County.

LRS NEWS
LRS is expanding our nature offerings in both districts. LRS North is working with the Greater Maywood Paddle Program to offer kayaking opportunities for participants when the weather warms up. LRS South is taking advantage of the resources available through the Forest Preserves of Cook County and programming activities through the Sandridge Nature Center and other FPDCC sites. Outdoor recreation is an often overlooked wellness component that we are pleased to be able to offer to our participants.
We have two office locations. Please call before visiting the office so that a NSRS staff is
available to assist you at each of our office locations.
